Description
The statue of William Ewart Gladstone is located in George Square, Glasgow, and was created by the sculptor Thorneycroft RA in 1902. It features a lifesize bronze figure of Prime Minister Gladstone, depicted in a robed stance. The statue stands on a polished grey granite stepped plinth, which includes two inset bronze bas-relief panels that illustrate scenes from Gladstone's life.
