Description

The Gladstone Monument features an over life-size bronze figure of William Ewart Gladstone, set on a stepped pedestal made of Portland stone. The pedestal is flanked by four Tuscan columns. The north and south faces of the pedestal are adorned with acanthus decoration. Additionally, there are sculpted bronze figures on either side that represent Classical Learning, Finance, Eloquence, and Erin, which symbolizes Ireland.
