Description
Saint Deiniol's Parish Church entrance gates and churchyard walls were designed by John Douglas of Chester and built in 1877. The gates are made of red sandstone, featuring buttresses and gabled caps, along with decorative ironwork. The churchyard is enclosed by an irregular uncoursed sandstone wall that is capped and has entrances from St. Deiniol's Library, Cross Tree Lane, and the former Rectory. In the southwest corner of the wall, there is a single-storey gabled storehouse constructed from rough-dressed, uncoursed sandstone. This storehouse has a tiled roof and a plaque under the gable dated 1906. It includes a plain chamfered entrance and asymmetrical, single-light windows.
