Description
The statue of Robert Burns, located in George Square, Glasgow, was created by George Edwin Ewing between 1876 and 1877. It is made of bronze and stands on a granite base and pedestal. The pedestal features cast reliefs by J A Ewing, produced between 1885 and 1887, which depict scenes from "The Cottars' Night Out," "Twa Dogs," "The Vision," and "Tam O'Shanter." The statue itself was cast by Cox and Son of Thames Ditton.
