Description
The statue of Prince Albert, created by Baron Carlo Marochetti before 1854, is an equestrian bronze sculpture located in George Square, Glasgow. It stands on a base made of grey granite and a pedestal of pink granite. The statue features cast bronze corner columns and an acanthus band course. There are bronze relief panels on the sides and a wreathed 'A' on the rear panel, topped with an egg and dart cornice.
