Description

Probably John Burnet, circa 1863. 3-storey and basement, 7-bay Italian Renaissance-style office building. Painted ashlar, channelled at ground and less deeply at 1st floor; dentil cornice to 1st and 2nd floor, modillioned eaves cornice. Original corniced doorway to outer left, with Ionic channelled pilasters flanking and guilloche ornament to frieze. Architraved windows at 1st and 2nd floor, with paterae in frieze above the former and carved flora above latter windows; Corinthian pilasters dividing bays of 2nd floor.
