Description
59 and 61 Virginia Street in Glasgow is a four-storey, three-bay tenement building dating from around 1800. It features ashlar stonework, with the ground floor rendered and painted above, all constructed in a fire-proof manner. At the ground level, there are two segmental arches with an impost course and a band course above. The building has undergone later alterations, particularly at the main cornice and parapet. Each bay on the first, second, and third floors has a small, regular window, although the center window on the third floor is blocked. There is a pend through the left archway and a square-headed door set in the right. The windows are sash and case style.
