Description
97 and 99 High Street in Dunbar is a tenement building from the later 18th century. It has three storeys and a raised cellar, featuring a regular six-bay facade. The exterior is rendered and incised to resemble ashlar, with painted margins. The entrance is located in the fifth bay from the north and includes a short flight of steps with cast-iron balustrades. The ground floor windows have been enlarged for shop use, while the upper floors have six-paned sash windows with plate glass on the first floor and plate glass on the second floor. The building has a slate roof, plain skews, and brick chimney stacks.
