Description

Circa 1800. 4-storey classical tenement. Ashlar, painted

at ground. Cill courses, base course and main cornice.

N ELEVATION (WILSON STREET): 6-bay. Consoled cornices to

window of each bay, set slightly higher in 2nd and 5th

bays (originally doors); later entrance right of centre,

with panelled door. Architraved 1st and 2nd floor

windows, corniced at 1st. Fluted 1st floor cill course.

Pediment above centre 4 bays, with flanking blocking

course.

W ELEVATION (VIRGINIA STREET): 3-bay with pedimented

gable. Ground floor detailed as N front, simpler above

with blind windows to centre Apex stack.

S (REAR) ELEVATION: circular stairwell off-centre to

right with doorway at foot; irregularly spaced bays;

blind windows to outer left bay.

Plate-glass sash and case windows. Slates.
