Description

Dated 1885. 3-storey tenement with attics; shops at

ground. 4 bays. Red ashlar; sash windows, architraved at

1st floor, margined and with cill band at 2nd floor;

Ground floor originally Ionic-pilastered with pulvinated

frieze and modillioned cornice, incorporating pedimented

doorpiece at arched stair door in 2nd bay (date in

tympanum). 2 pilasters survive; frieze and architrave are

obscured by modern shop fascias; shop to right has

central cast-iron column. 2 modern square dormers. Slate

roof.
