Description
36 English Street in Dumfries is an early 19th century building that stands two storeys tall and features three bays. It has a well-preserved mid-19th century shop front with four bays supported by decorative cast-iron columns, and a close door located on the right. Above the ground floor, there is a continuous modillion cornice. The exterior is finished in painted droved ashlar and includes plate glass sashes, a cornice, and end stacks, all topped by a slate roof. At the back, there is a long rear range that faces a narrow close.
