Description
152, 154, and 154A West Regent Street in Glasgow is a classical end terrace block built around 1835. It consists of a single three-bay house and two flats, featuring two storeys and a basement with a total of five by six bays. The central bay on the first floor faces West Regent Street, while the second bay from the south on Wellington Street is blind. The building is constructed of polished ashlar, with a painted basement and surrounds.
At the central bay, there is a mutule corniced double entry anta doorpiece above steps that lead down to the basement area on West Regent Street. Additionally, there is a consoled corniced doorpiece at No. 130 West Campbell Street. A basement band course is present, and the windows are sash and case, set within architraves, with cornicing at the ground floor in West Regent Street and the first three return bays. The building features an eaves cornice and a blocking course that is raised at the gable end, which has paired stacks.
