Description

Sir J E Boehm, sculpture; erected 1888 (signed and

dated). Statue, pedestrian bronze of John Elder with

model of his "patent compound inverted vertical steam

engine" which was patented by Randolph and Elder in the

early 1850's. Tall granite pedestal with classical

detailing and plaques. Enclosed by circular granite

coping with piers and iron chains; also simple iron

fence.
