Description
The James Carmichael Monument, located in Albert Square, Dundee, was erected in 1876. It features a seated bronze figure of James Carmichael, an engineer, holding a cylinder and fan blower. The statue is set on a large polished pink granite pedestal, which includes a base course and cornice. The sculptor of the monument is John Hutchison from Edinburgh, and it was cast by R Masefield and Co from London.
