Description
Queen Victoria's Statue, located in Albert Square, Dundee, was created by Harry Bates in 1899. This bronze statue features an enthroned and crowned figure of Queen Victoria holding an orb. Surrounding the statue is a frieze that depicts various scenes from her life. The statue is set on a moulded polished Peterhead granite pedestal, which is supported by a wide, shallowly stepped base.
