Description
32 Kirk Road in Carmunnock, Glasgow, is a building said to date from around 1690, although it is not entirely from that period. The diagonally-droved masonry seen at the ground floor suggests that part of the structure was built in the second half of the 18th century, possibly on earlier foundations. The building was raised by one storey, likely in the early 19th century, and is now a long two-storey house that is part of a row. The exterior is whitewashed and features three wide bays on the first floor, with a central window above a modern central porch. There is a raised gable head where a doorway once existed, indicating the presence of a forestair on the main wall. The building has corniced end stacks and a slate roof.
