Description
Said to be circa 1690 but not all one build; appearance
of diagonally-droved masonry at ground floor indicates
date in 2nd half of 18th century though perhaps on
pre-existing footings; heightened a storey - in ashlar -
perhaps in early 19th century and now (1988) a long
2-storey house, part of a row; whitewashed; 3 wide
bays at 1st floor, central window (above modern central
porch), with raised gable head, originally a doorway,
evidence of forestair on main wall. Corniced end stacks;
slate roof.
