Description

Dated 1762 on door lintel. Crow-stepped single storey

3-bay cottge, the south-most of 2 adjoining cottages

sharing common gable. White-harled, with contrasting

exposed ashlar dressings. Sash windows. Off-centre

doorway (modern door), windows of unequal size, that in

narrow right bay presumably enlarged in 19th century.

Lintels touch eaves. Rebuilt end stack over S gable, N

gable carried upwards when adjoining cottage was

heightened. Slate roof. S gable has boulder base to

slope of ground, and pair windows, pair projecting

stones in gable-head. Concrete-margined 20th century

window in otherwise blank and rubble-walled rear

elevation, to kirkyard, and modern rooflight.
