Description
22 Kirk Road is a single-storey, three-bay cottage, likely built in the mid-19th century, with some masonry courses added in the 19th century, as seen on the rear wall. It is the northernmost of two adjoining cottages that share a common gable. The cottage features an off-centre door and windows of unequal size, with the window in the wide right bay presumably enlarged in the 19th century. The exterior is harled, with white-painted ashlar margins around the windows and rendered margins around the door. It has end stacks and a slate roof, with a modern rooflight on the rear elevation facing the kirkyard. There is also a 19th-century window and a blocked 18th-century window.
