Janitor's Lodge, Cuthberson Primary School, 33-35 Cuthbertson Street, Glasgow

The Janitor's Lodge at Cuthberson Primary School, located at 33-35 Cuthbertson Street in Glasgow, was designed by James Miller in 1906 as a board school. It is a tall three-storey building made of red ashlar stone, featuring a plain symmetrical front facing Cuthbertson Street. The design includes shallow advanced ends and recessed parapetted bays on the sides that contain entrances. At the rear, the main block is U-shaped, facing Coplaw Street, with a recessed central wall almost completely filled by large multi-panel mullioned and transomed windows. In contrast, the flanking end walls are mostly blank, except for inscription panels and giant pilasters that connect the upper floors. The building primarily has single windows with sashes and a six-pane glazing pattern, set in architraves, and features a bracketted cornice. The roofs are piended and covered with slate, and there are chimney stacks.

At the eastern end of the Cuthbertson Street front is a two-storey gabled Janitor's Lodge. The property is enclosed by low playground walls topped with plain iron railings and features intermittent corniced square piers.
