Description
This tenement block, built in 1884, features Scots baronial architectural details, including corbelled crow-stepped chimney gables and corbelled eaves. The building rises four storeys and includes some shops on the ground floor. It is constructed of snecked rubble with ashlar dressings, and the northern side has been stone-cleaned. There are shallow canted bays above the ground floor on either side of the chimney gable bays, while the southern corner has a shallow splayed, two-storey end bay on the return elevation. The windows are plate glass sashes, although some have been replaced with unsympathetic modern glazing. Decorative chimney cans and a slate roof complete the structure.
