Preston View, Tanhouse Brae, Culross

Preston View is a house located on Tanhouse Brae in Culross, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. It is a two-storey, three-bay structure built from exposed tooled, snecked stone, featuring ashlar window and door surrounds as well as an eaves course.

On the northwest elevation, which is the principal facade, there is a central door with a fanlight above it. To the right of the door is a window, and directly above, there are two first-floor windows that are centrally positioned. A mid-level stair window is located to the left.

The northeast elevation is attached to Snuff Cottage, while the southeast elevation was not visible in 2001. The southwest elevation is connected to Forth View.

The house has four-pane timber sash and case windows with horns, and a panelled timber door. It is topped with a pitched slate roof and features gable apex stacks. The interior was not seen in 2001.
