Description

Earlier-mid 19th century. Double cast-iron gates with flanking pedestrian gates; lightly droved octagonal sandstone ashlar gatepiers. Base and band course to gatepiers; recessed panels to each side; rounded caps raised at apex. Lattice-design band to gates; spiked finials to this and at apex. Remains of earlier (18th century) gatepost at termination of railed wall to N; small sandstone obelisk with ball finial.
