Description
The telephone call box in Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline, was designed by John Fraser in 1928. It features a square plan and has a unique design made of concrete or artificial stone that imitates ashlar. The structure has chamfered edges and a low copper-clad ogee roof that projects significantly, topped with a timber finial. There is a base course and band courses at the cill and lintel levels, along with a moulded eaves band. The entrance, located on the west side, has a moulded surround and a boarded timber door that used to have a glazed panel. The windows on the north and south sides are boarded. The interior was not inspected in 1998.
