Description
The Andrew Carnegie Statue, located in Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline, was created by sculptor Richard Goulden in 1914. The statue is made of bronze and stands on a stepped T-plan granite pedestal, which features a large stepped square-plan granite base. On the west side of the pedestal, there is a bronze foliate frieze that incorporates a bronze plaque detailing important aspects of Carnegie's life. The granite work was carried out by D H and J Newall of Dalbeattie, while the bronze casting was done by Ashburton of Thames Ditton.
