Description
The bridge located to the west of Tower Bridge in Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline, dates from the earlier 19th century. It features a four-centred arch with slightly swept wings and has a slight downward slope to the south. The structure is made of coursed stugged sandstone, with polished sandstone ashlar used for the voussoirs, keystone, and hoodmould. The soffit is finished with droved sandstone ashlar, and the parapet is topped with squared sandstone coping. The jambs are also made of droved stone.
