Description

The bridge at Woodypoint Estate on Allanton Road in Bonkle dates back to the early 19th century. It features a shallow segmental design supported by triple span segmental arches, with smaller arches on either side of a broad central arch. The structure is primarily made of ashlar sandstone, complemented by rusticated abutments and piers. Notable architectural details include hoodmoulded arch rings and paired pilasters on the wing walls, along with traces of single pilasters on the piers. The parapet is missing, and the road surface has been grassed over.
