Description

The Workshop and General Store at Cameron Bridge Distillery in Windygates dates from the earlier to mid 19th century. This single-storey building has a curved plan and consists of a range of industrial structures. The exterior features dressed rubble, random rubble at the rear, and harl and dry dash with dressed quoins. The openings are round headed.

On the southeast elevation, which has a concave face, there is a window and a door to the right of centre, both round headed, along with another door to the outer right that abuts a later harled extension. To the left of centre, there are two doors and an additional round headed door beyond. There is also a slightly taller range with a finial adjoining to the outer left. All doors are part glazed and made of timber.

The southwest elevation features a wide, two-leaf, part glazed timber sliding door to the right and a round headed window to the left.

The northwest elevation has a convex face that abuts the river. It includes three windows in the taller range to the right and another window to the left, all of which are round headed. The windows have a 12-pane glazing pattern with radial astragalled windowheads. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are cast iron downpipes with a decorative rainwater hopper on the northwest side.
