Description

The Clock at Cross, Windygates, was built in 1916. It features a cast iron construction and stands on a sandstone plinth that has a commemorative plaque stating, "Erected from the proceeds of Social Betterment Dairy Scheme." The clock has a plain rectangular cast iron box shaft with a moulded base and cornice, and it has stop-chamfered arrises. Each corner has a pressed leg that curves to a reduced cap, which supports a circular clock face displaying Roman numerals.
