The Tron Shop, Sandhaven, Culross

The Tron Shop in Sandhaven, Culross, is an 18th-century, two-storey, three-bay building that currently operates as a shop and pottery since 2001. It is constructed from harled sandstone rubble with ashlar surrounds and features a central forestair.

On the south elevation, there is a central door on the first floor that hugs the eaves, with a forestair to the left that has plain metal railings. To the right on the ground floor is a door and a large window that was originally a cartshed entrance, with a ground floor window to the left. There are also first floor windows to the right and left. A low L-plan wall extends from the right gable.

The west elevation is partially obscured by an adjacent building but has a first floor window to the right. The north elevation features a door to the left, a window to the right, and a central window on the first floor. The east elevation displays an exposed plain gable wall with a projecting stone to the left.

The building has 12-pane timber sash and case windows, with a large replacement window on the front right. The ground floor door is glazed, and there is a timber studded door on the first floor. The roof is pitched and covered with clay pantiles, featuring crowstepped gables and gable end stacks, including a curved crowstep by the west stack on the south side.

Inside, the building has a modern interior that accommodates a pottery workspace and display area.
