Description

Tall, roughly squared rubble walls line Newgate; averaging 8 feet tall with replacement coping stones. Doorways to E; moulded architrave (currently in disrepair, 2001) to NE; doorway and wall to Rose Cottage garden to SE. Doorways to SW; wall joins Newgate House garden wall. Narrow lane to NW (Cat's Close), walls have been heightened to approximately 10 feet tall.
