Description
The Railway Viaduct in Cardenden, Auchterderran, was opened in 1849. It features four spans and has flanking quadrant walls. The structure is built from bull-faced ashlar, with dressed ashlar semicircular arch rings that have been patched with brick. The piers are designed with chamfered pedestal bases and cavetto cornices. The spandrels include iron ties, and the viaduct is topped with a flat-coped ashlar parapet.
