Description

Carberry Gardens at Carberry Tower is a later 19th century single storey and attic cottage, featuring a single storey wing and a later addition at the rear. The exterior is harled with ashlar dressings and chamfered reveals. The principal elevation has three bays, with a central doorway beneath a gabled porch supported by timber columns and featuring a kingpost and fanlight. On either side of the doorway are lean stone mullioned bipartite windows, while the outer bays have gabled timber mullioned bipartite dormers, complete with timber brackets, kingposts, and finials. To the left, there is a slightly recessed lower wing with a bipartite window. The sash and case windows have a horizontal-pane glazing pattern. The main block and dormers have overhanging eaves supported by timber brackets, and the roof is covered with purple slates. The end stacks feature a moulded cornice with ashlar dressings and harling, and the decorative cans have been retained.
