Description
Strathmore Cottage is a single-storey, three-bay cottage built around 1910 and is one of a pair of identical cottages. The exterior is harled with ashlar dressings and features chamfered edges around the openings. At the center, there is a decorative timber gabled porch with small-pane glazing and diagonal boarding, leading to modern two-leaf doors. The flanking bays have stone mullioned bipartite windows. At the rear, there are lean-to projections.
The windows have a multi-pane glazing pattern in the upper sashes and two-pane lower sashes. The roof is covered with grey slates, and the end stacks are ashlar dressed and corniced, featuring decorative cans.
The cottage is complemented by unusual decorative timber railings and gates along the roadside boundary, which are flanked by polygonal piers.
