Description
The Game Larder at Carberry Tower is a decorative timber structure built in the late 19th to early 20th century. It has a rectangular plan and is raised approximately 1 foot off the ground on stilts. The lower section features slatted timber beneath the cills, while the louvred windows have small-pane segmental panels in their upper portions.
On one long side, there is a tripartite doorway situated under a gabled, cantilevered porch that is decorated with bargeboards. This entrance is accessed by steps defined by timber railings and features a panelled door. There is an additional doorway on the return elevation that has a simple flight of steps.
The structure has bracketted, overhanging eaves that sweep down, and it is topped with a grey slated piend roof that includes lead flashings. At the centre, there is a louvred timber ventilator with a leaded pyramidal roof and a finial.
