Description

Annfield is a single-storey, three-bay cottage built around 1820, featuring a rectangular plan and a classicised gabled design. The exterior is constructed from yellow, channelled ashlar and includes chamfered, heavily projecting long and short quoins. It has a blocked base course, a continuous cill-height string course, and a heavily projecting mutuled cornice with a blocking course. The windows are adorned with stugged and lugged architraves.

The west elevation is symmetrical with three bays and a modern two-leaf timber door at the centre. There are nailhead bosses on the blocked pilasters flanking the entrance, which support a scroll-consoled canopy. The east elevation features a three-bay design with an advanced gabled wing at the centre and regular fenestration, including a door at the centre of the left return. The north side elevation has a window to the right, while the south side elevation also has a window to the right.

The cottage has modern double-glazed windows, a roof covered with grey slates and lead flashing, and coped skews with dentil moulding on the coped stacks. The interior was not seen in 2001.
