Description

West Mains is a farmhouse from the earlier 19th century, featuring two stories and three bays. It is constructed of random rubble with ashlar dressings. The central entrance door is deep-set and has a letterbox fanlight above it. Flanking the door on the ground floor are two tall windows, while the first floor has three windows. At the rear, there is a stair window in the center and two additional windows on the first floor, although the ground floor openings have been altered. Each gable end has a window on both floors. The windows are sash and case style with a 12-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with grey slates, has straight skews, and is topped with coped ashlar stacks.
