Description

Later 19th century. Single storey gate lodge. Polychrome

brick.

W ELEVATION: 4-light canted bay at centre with base and

cill course flanked to right by narrow, fanlit doorway

with boarded door. Lean-to adjoined to S.

Windows currently blocked (1987). Piend slate roof with

lead flashings and polygonal piend to canted bay.

Moulded coping to cross-plan stack. Decorative cast-

iron lamp bracket and finial.

GATEPIERS AND QUADRANTS: polygonal ashlar gatepiers to

driveway and pedestrian gate to right; raised bases and

moulded caps originally bearing ball finials (only one

remaining). Boarded gates with decorative hinged

brackets to main gates. Ashlar coped red brick

quadrants. Further set similarly detailed to E drive.
