West Barns Inn, Edinburgh Road, West Barns, Dunbar

West Barns Inn is a late 18th century establishment located on Edinburgh Road in West Barns, Dunbar. The inn features a sprawling layout that includes four converted houses along the main street. The main block is two stories high with three regular bays, flanked by two slightly recessed sections that join at an angle. The left block has three irregular bays, while the right block has two equally irregular bays. The outer right cottage is a single-story structure with two bays and low eaves.

The main block is rendered and lined to resemble ashlar, while the flanking sections are harled with painted margins. The rear of the building is constructed from red rubble sandstone. There is a variety of openings and glazing patterns throughout the inn, including a two-leaf door in the left bay of the main block and a narrower door in the left of the flanking block to the right. A pend is formed in the outer right bay of the single-story cottage. The first floor predominantly features 12-pane glazing, while the ground floor has plate glass. The doorway of the outer left house has been blocked and converted into a window.

The northern rear elevation is irregular and has been altered, with single-story extensions added to the main and left blocks. The roofs are covered with pantiles, and there are mutual gable stacks on the harled sections.
