Description
17 and 19 Bridge Street in East Linton are a pair of two-storey houses built in the early to mid-19th century. They feature a three-bay design and are constructed from squared and snecked red sandstone, accented with stugged grey ashlar dressings. The sides and rear are made of whinstone rubble. The doorways are centrally located and include two-pane strip fanlights topped with bracketed pentice hoods. On the ground floor, there are windows flanking the doorways, while the first floor has three windows. All windows are sash and case style, displaying a 12-pane glazing pattern. The roofs are covered with grey slates and have straight skews, with red sandstone stacks that feature grey ashlar quoins. Each attic includes a skylight.
