Description
Chesterhall is a mid-19th century, two-storey, three-bay Italianate villa. It features stugged ashlar with ashlar dressings, including a base course, eaves course, and raised margins. The stone mullions add to its architectural detail. The right bay is slightly advanced, and the entrance is located at the centre by a re-entrant angle, which includes a columned and corniced doorpiece with a panelled two-leaf door. Above the entrance, there is a bipartite window at the first floor, consisting of very narrow lights. To the right, there are tripartite windows at both the ground and first floors, while the left side has bipartite windows. There is a single-storey addition to the right and a single-storey extension at the rear. The windows are sash and case with plate glass. The roof is covered with purple slates and has a piended design with bracketed overhanging eaves. The corniced and panelled ashlar wallhead stacks complete the structure.
