Description

Early 19th century, 2-storey, 3-bay farmhouse with service wing to NE, mid 10th century drawing room wing and porch additions forming T-plan. Squared and coursed stugged ashlar, galletting to earlier house, painted margins, rubble at rear.

W ELEVATION: later 2-bay piend roofed wing advanced at left, and 2-storey corniced porch in re-entrant angle; painted, pilastered doorpiece with cornice, bordered glazing to strip fanlight, window on return at ground, 2 smaller windows at 1st floor. Porch set close to outer right bay of original house with window toeach floor. Windows to each bay at ground and 1st floor of advanced wing, window to each floor on return. E ELEVATION: canted 2-storey, polygonally roofed stair tower to centre bay with window. Windows flanking at ground and 1st floor; piended slate-hung bipartite dormers to attic. Lower, irregular 3-bay service wing extending to NE, windows at 1st floor breaking eaves in later gabled dormerheads. Sash and case windows with 12-pane glazing pattern. Grey slates, coped skews, coped ashlar stacks; corniced to later wing.
