Woodleigh, Shore Road, Cove And Kilcreggan

Woodleigh is a later 19th century, two-storey, three-bay Italianate villa with a shallow gable and a rectangular plan. It is constructed from whinstone and sandstone rubble, featuring painted, stugged margins and dressings, with bracketed cills on the first floor. The building has a stugged base course, rusticated quoins, advanced eaves, and exposed rafters.

On the west elevation, there is a broad gabled bay on the outer left, which includes a six-light window at both the ground and first floors. Triglyped consoles support a cornice above the ground floor window. In the gablehead, there are paired, segmental-headed panels with painted escutcheons at the center. To the right, a narrow entrance bay features a round-headed door with a keystone, a two-leaf panelled door, and a plate glass fanlight above. There is also a narrow window on the first floor with a panel below and a cill. On the outer right, a tripartite window is located at the ground floor, while a bipartite window with a gable breaks the eaves at the first floor.

The east elevation is rendered and has various openings, with a later gabled jamb projecting at the center. The windows are plate glass sash and case, and the roof is covered with grey slate, featuring broad, coped stacks with octagonal cans.
