Description

Thomas Hannan and Thomas Henderson, circa 1840. 2-storey

farmhouse with single and single-storey and attic additions.

Squared and snecked red sandstone with ashlar dressings; base

course.

W ELEVATION: 4-bay. Gabled advanced bay to outer right with

tripartite inserted at ground. Doorway set in re-entrant

angle with consoled canopy and fanlight. 2 gabled dormerheads

above 1st floor windows to 2 left bays. Recessed single bay

to outer right, on return of gabled S projection.

E ELEVATION: gabled bay at centre with French door at ground.

Single storey and attic gabled service wing advanced to outer

left. Recessed bay with stair window right of centre and

piend-roofed single storey addition inserted in re-entrant

angle to outer right.

12-pane glazing pattern to sash and case windows. Coped skews

with beak skewputts and finials to gables. Coped gable end

and ridge stacks.
