Description
Loretto School is a two-storey villa built around 1830, located at 15 Linksfield Road in Musselburgh. The building features an ashlar façade and is attached to No 14. It has a symmetrical design with three windows across the front and a slightly projecting central bay. The cornice, string course, and blocking courses extend from No 14, and there are in and out quoins. The entrance includes a recessed doorpiece with delicate side panels, and the windows are six-pane sash types. The roof is piended and covered with slate.
The villa has corniced end stacks, and the return elevation is constructed of rubble. There is a garden wall that was formerly topped by railings, and the overall design includes piended slate roofs and corniced stacks.
