Description

The dovecot at Pinkie House in Musselburgh dates from around 1600 and is a two-stage lectern type. It is constructed of sandstone rubble and features a crowstepped slate roof. A string course runs along the first stage, and there is a drip mould at the eaves level. At ground level, there are two doors, each with moulded panels above; one door displays the Seton arms, while the other features the monogram AS/MH. In the upper stage, there are two square openings with raised margins, separated by a square panel.
