Description

Perhaps 18th century, mid 19th in appearance. Single

storey, 4-bay cottage with modern rear extension, set

closely, at right angles, with similar cottage. Harl

pointed red sandstone rubble with stugged and droved

later dressings.

W elevation facing green; 2 centre bays grouped closely,

probably both doors originally, that to right blocked as

window; windows in outer bays. Side gables both with

windows to W side, that to N elevation later, with cement

rendered surround, and flanked to left by similarly later

door. Rounded quoins to NE angle.

4-pane glazing pattern to sash and case windows. Pantile

roof with slate easing course. Distinctive early. East

Lothian skew formation: gable and stacks.
