Description
Primrose House, located at 29 Dalrymple Loan in Musselburgh, is a terrace house built around 1830. It has two storeys and a basement, featuring an asymmetrical design with three windows across the front. The exterior is constructed of ashlar stone, with a rusticated ground floor, a band course at the first floor, and a string course at the cill, complemented by fluted window aprons between the windows. The roof is slate, with end stacks and corniced eaves.
The left-hand bay of the house has an arched doorway, which retains its original radial fanlight and door with sidelights, leading up to balustraded steps. There is also a passage door at the lower level on the extreme left. The first-floor windows are framed with architraves, and all windows are six-pane sash.
