Description
47 High Street in Musselburgh is an early 19th century house that stands three storeys tall with attics. The ground floor has been modified for use as a shop and features four windows across its front. The building has a slate roof with end stacks and is constructed from coursed rubble, which includes raised margins around the first and second floor windows, as well as an eaves band course. On the ground floor, there is a wide round-arched pend on the left side, and to the right, shop windows with a corniced doorpiece. The building also has two small modern square dormers, while the second floor windows are six-pane sash. The first floor windows have been reglazed for the shop, and there is a two-window wing of the same height that faces the lane within the pend.
