56-60 High Street, Linlithgow

56-60 High Street in Linlithgow is an early 19th-century building that features two storeys and an attic, with a four-bay design that includes a pend and a shop at ground level. The exterior is made of coursed stugged painted rubble, with a base course, a lintel course above the first-floor windows, an eaves course, and raised margins.

On the south elevation, there is a tripartite shop front with a central entrance flanked by large plate glass windows. Above the shop front, there is a wooden fascia with a dentil cornice, and the entrance to the pend is located on the left side.

The north elevation at the rear is three storeys high, featuring an off-centre right stair block with a small window at ground level and a round-headed window on the first floor. The building has 9-pane lower and 6-pane upper sash and case windows, with 12-pane windows in the dormers. The roof is covered with grey slate, and there are slate-hung flat-roofed dormers and modern rooflights in between. The gables have ashlar coped skews and broad rendered stacks with 11 flues.
