Description
20 Bloomgate in Lanark is an earlier 19th century building featuring two storeys and an attic, with a total of six windows. The exterior is finished in lined, painted stucco. A central wide pend has a flat ogee arch. To the left, there is a modern shop front, while the right side features a pilastered shop front with a modern fascia. The first floor has six windows, some of which retain their original lying-pane glazing. The building is topped with a cornice and blocking course, and there is a later canted and gabled dormer on the left. The roof is slate with straight skews. At the rear, there are extensive two-storey wings flanking the pend.
